Robert was five years old when he asked his parents for an electric guitar. He would be so persistent about obtaining one that his mother finally decided to buy him a Spanish guitar from a local mall. In his youth Robert would spend hour after hour with a Casio keyboard, captivated by its notes and rythyms. His parents were happy to see their son so enthusiastic about playing a musical instrument but wondered how they hadn"t realized that an invention such as the electric guitar even existed. The tranquility of the family would be interrupted when Robert reached adolescence and began listening to such groups as Metallica, Accept, Judas Priest, Helloween and Megadeth. From this moment onward his desire to obtain an electric guitar would become an obsession.
Several years would pass until he finally acquired his first electric guitar which he bought with the little money he made as a baker"s assistant. Self-taught, he practiced night and day with the conviction that this was going to be the profession to which he would dedicate his life.
His first musical project was in 1997 with WarCry. Víctor was looking to form the band and asked Roberto to join on as a guitarist. During this time he received guitar classes from Alberto Rionda. His professor didn't take long to realize the potential of his student and asked Roberto to join the band Avalanch. Disappointed, Robert would later leave the group in 2002 in order to dedicate himself completely to his own musical project.
For a year he spent his time busy perfecting his technique as well as writing and recording of in a small home-made studio.
In January of 2004 the possibility arose for Robert to return to WarCry, but this time as their base player.
